2012-01-31 | In order to meet the mining industry needs for efficient transport of high quality, Sweden’s main line for rail freight transport needs to be expanded by 50 percent by 2025. An increase in main line capacity will create opportunities for more sustainable transportation and will bring about a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, but will also help create a more sustainable society in terms of a reduction in travelling time for passengers.

2011-03-18 | RMG forecasts another strong year in metal price increases at a rate similar to 2010, after which prices are expect to increase at a slower rate in 2012 and be maintained at 2012 levels throughout 2013. From 2013 to 2015 metal prices are expected to soften due to the arrival of new supply although the RMG index is not expected to drop below current levels, implying continued high metal prices for the long term.

A complete "line-up" of GIA tunnelling equipment comprising locomotives, suttlecars and Haggloaders have been delivered to the Dragages-Nishimatsu JV for work on the Hong Kong Drainage Tunnel Scheme.

2010-01-04 | In its annual full-year forecast for 2010, the Raw Materials Group (RMG) expects metal prices to have bottomed out and 2010 to be another year with high metal prices. A falling market has been replaced by a market with physical demand and likely strong speculation over prices. Entirely in line with last year’s RMG forecast, all metals except gold fell during 2009 compared with 2008. RMG believes that the metal price bottom for this period of economic downturn was passed early in 2009 and for 2010 RMG forecasts another year of volatile metal prices with a mean price below the current day level for most metals.
