International drilling contracts for Drillcon
Drillcon AB, a core drilling and raise boring contractor within the mining and construction industries, has through its Portuguese subsidiary Drillcon Iberia SA obtained two contracts for drilling in Bulgaria and Portugal.

The contract in Bulgaria concerns raise boring for Chelopech Mining EAD and includes drilling of ore shafts and slot raises. The work will start at once and go on until mid 2010. In Portugal, Iberia has obtained a contract for 7 500 metres of core drilling, including geological services, above ground for Almina SA in Aljustrel. The contract commenced in early February and will occupy two drill rigs for six to eight months, since some drilling sites have limited work hours because of noise restrictions. Since earlier, Iberia has a contract concerning drilling under ground for Almina in Aljustrel. The total contract value is estimated to SEK 11 million.
- Drillcon Iberia successfully performed drilling during 2008 and the first six months of 2009 for Chelopech in Bulgaria. It is a confirmation of well accomplished work that we now have received another assignment for Chelopech.
- We see it as another sign of an improving market situation that Almina invests in 7 500 drilling metres in exploration close to the mine in Aljustrel. The drilling sites are located approx. 30 km from our base in Castro Verde in southern Portugal, which gives us easy access to support and resources, allowing us to carry out a successful project, Mikael Berglund, CEO at Drillcon AB, says.
