Wassara offers the mining and construction industry complete systems for effective drilling in soil and rock, based on the company’s core competence in water powered drilling. The heart of all the systems is the patented Wassara™ hammer, powered by high pressure water.
The new Wassara X-Straight Drilling System has been developed for applications where borehole straightness requirements, in combination with inclined holes, put extra demands on the drilling technology. With its guided drill tubes and stabilized hammer casing, the system holds up to aggressive conditions while maintaining hole straightness.

An important application for the X-Straight Drilling System is water curtain drilling. Water curtains are often used to seal off large underground oil and gas storages. Long straight holes, both horizontal and vertical, are crucial for the correct function of the water curtain.

All the components of the X-Straight Drilling System have been optimized for maximum performance as one unit, making the systems economical to use. The Wassara technology has lower environmental impact than traditional drilling systems and also offers a significantly better work environment in terms of noise and air pollution.
