Focusing on high quality and with long experience from the mining industry, Contector supplies machines, vehicles and equipment that fully comply with extreme requirements on flexibility, durability and cost effectiveness.
Contector is an innovative company with long experience from developing products and services for the mining industry. The company takes pride in supplying high quality solutions, where safety is a central part of the concept. Working in close cooperation with world-leading mining companies, Contector offers machines and equipment that perfectly match the demands of the toughest of environments.
The first months of 2010 has been a successful period for Contector, with records in sales and orders received. Among the customers, there are prominent companies such as LKAB, Zinkgruvan, Bergteamet, Björkdalsgruvan and Dragon Mining.
JAMA TMB 420
Optimised to meet the requirements of the mining industry in terms of flexibility, durability, quality and cost efficiency, Contector has developed a series of products with the common name JAMA.
The JAMA product family has recently been extended with a new member, the JAMA TMB 420, which offers the same high and durable standard as all products carrying the Contector logo. LKAB is the first customer to invest in this new red coloured JAMA machine.
The JAMA TMB 420 is designed for flexible utility drilling, boulder drilling, dowel hole drilling, drilling for reinforcement bars and for construction drilling. The equipment is mounted on a carrier, for example a wheel loader, excavator or tractor. The hydraulic system of the carrier is used for operation of all drilling functions.
Mounting and dismantling of the low-weight JAMA TMB 420 is quick and easy, which enables the operator to use the same machine for different purposes, such as drilling, excavation and loading.
All control is conducted from the cabin, using joysticks for manoeuvring (option radio control), which allows the operator to benefit from a dust and noise free environment, filtered air conditioning and an ergonomic working position (depending on type of carrier). Since the operator stays safely in the cabin while the equipment is in operation, the risk for industrial injuries is decreased.
JAMA SBU 8000
The JAMA SBU 8000 is the flagship in the JAMA product family. This advanced mechanized scaler has had success in a series of key mines in Scandinavia. In 2009, the JAMA SBU 8000 was awarded by the Mining Magazine, which recognises significant and notable technologies and mining equipment. The award in the category “Underground Mining (Hard Rock) – Ancillary and Analysis” was a contributory reason for Zinkgruvan and Bergteamet, among others, to purchase the JAMA SBU 8000.
The JAMA SBU 8000 is 27 tonnes of high-tech precision. The all-wheel-driven chassis is articulated for easy cornering in drifts, with a mere 4.8 metre turning radius. The low centre of gravity, together with four hydraulic jacks, places the JAMA SBU 8000 in a rock-solid position for scaling.
The JAMA SBU 8000 is an operator favourite, thanks to its capabilities in terms of comfort and safety. The unique floating cab design ensures reduction of whole-body vibration and multi-directional shocks during full-day work shifts. A protective frame and screen keep the operator safe from falling rock. The cab and frame can be tilted up to 15 degrees to maximize the visual field. The JAMA SBU 8000 also has an emergency function, based on a proprietary technology developed by Contector.
Mobile Power
The company’s long experience from working with the mining industry has also resulted in the Contector Mobile Power System. This complete system for quick, safe and high quality power supply is used by for example LKAB and Boliden, as well as by ABB, Siemens and Atlas Copco.
The Mobile Power is a mobile power distribution unit, built into a robust 10 ft or 20 ft container. The container can be customized to comply with almost any requirements when it comes to size, transformer, capacity, insulation, heating, ventilation, interior lighting, monitoring facilities, data and communication terminals, etc.
A ready-to-use unit, for both low and high voltages, the Mobile Power is intended for temporary, long term an even permanent use in for example mines and quarries, tunnelling activities, bridge and road construction areas and in industrial complexes.
