New automatic self priming Pump developed by ITT

ITT Water & Wastewater will present a new generation of diesel driven automatic selfpriming pumps at the 2010 Bauma Show. This newly developed pump is the first Flygt Diese lpump to make use of the patented N-pump hydraulics. With a Hard-Iron™ impeller, it is combined with new, fuel-saving engine and noise reducing canopies.
At Bauma 2010 the 6” version of this new range will be shown. It can pump up to 87 litres per second and reach a maximum head of 49 meters. Thanks to the N-impeller, the new concept offers efficient operations, solids handling at higher heads, longer service intervals and low maintenance costs. Later this year, 4” and 8” versions will be launched.
N-hydraulics enables the usage of new applications
The N-hydraulics has proven itself in hundreds and thousands of Flygt pumps worldwide. Now, as a part of the new self-priming pump range, it can be used in even more applications e.g. Municipal, Construction and Mining. Drainage water and Wastewater can be pumped trouble-free, with less risk of clogging. The success of the N-technology is the result of the special form of the impeller vanes. In conjunction with a relief groove in the insert ring, solid parts are accelerated then forced through a spiral groove, thus passing through the impeller more easily. This results in a constant effectiveness and from the first turn of the impeller the pump saves energy. The Hard-Iron™ impeller minimizes wear, even when pumping fluids containing solid matter. This makes this pump range the ideal choice for applications like Wastewater pumping, Dewatering, and By-pass pumping during sewer redevelopment.
Silent and Clean engine technology
This pump not only reduces operating costs by using a highly efficient impeller, it also relieves the environment by its new engine technology with especially low emissions and energy consumption. It fulfils the EU norm 3A as well as the North American norms EPA Tier 3 and Tier 4. Moreover, noise emissions have been greatly minimised. The pump is mounted on a skid with a double walled tank, integrated Non-return Valve and a centrally placed (and balanced) lifting bar. The efficient, robust and oil-free Vacuum Priming pump, along with the N-hydraulics ensures a reliable automatic operating system throughout.
