ITT Water & Wastewater will present the first two-stage Flygt pump of the 2600 series, the 2660 ST, at the Bauma 2010. With 10kW rated power the 2660 ST is the seventh-biggest model of the series and can be used in a broad range of applications within construction and mining.

The new 2660 ST is based on the design of the 2600 series and therefore offers state-of-the-art technology and high quality materials. The zero leakage “Active Seal” contributes to longer intervals between oil changes and longer maintenance intervals altogether. This increases the service life on construction sites, in mining, quarry and other applications.

Wear resistant, reliable and high-performing

All important features of the 2600 series can also be found in the 2660 ST. This two-stage Flygt pump has a unique hydraulic system developed by ITT: the so-called Dura-Spin™. Spiral grooves and small vanes transport abrasive particles outwards. This system effectively protects the impeller gap, not allowing any abrasive parts to come near it. It thereby ensures a constant high effectiveness compared to conventional hydraulics. The patented Spin-Out™ system includes a special design of the seal chamber. Solid particles will be transported via
a spiral groove in order to protect the seals and the bottom of the oil housing from sediments and wear. The unique Plug-In™ seal offers double protection: Two integrated mechanical face seal units in an easy-toexchange seal cartridge prevent fluids from leaking in and thereby simplify the maintenance.

Easy maintenance and service

A single external oil screw simplifies service work, as the pump does not have to be dismantled for oil refills. The external inspection screw enables easy access to the inspection chamber where the fluid which leaks in is collected while protecting the motor. This minimizes the risk of water leakage into the motor, causing expensive repairs. The impeller easily adjusted by one screw. Thus the optimal pump performance is guaranteed. ITT Water & Wastewater Flygt pumps are built to last. Their robust design and the use of wear resistant materials show in every detail. For example, shock absorbers of nitrile rubber reduce the stress on the bearing and the pump drives more effectively than conventional spring shock absorbers.
